On April 3rd 2013 the students of JGDATA MEGA Stars performed a fantastic show called 'Old Bags' at the Glebe House School in Hunstanton for there end of term production
Initially starting with an original short 10 minute script by John, the students worked together to create characters and situations so as to develop the story ready for a much longer presentation. The result was fantastic, being watched and enjoyed by a very happy audience, who were touched by the gentle and poignant moments and sent into fits of laugher at the outrageous antics that the characters got up to. A very accomplished production, showing real understanding of character acting and comic awkward situations. This show even saw the cast singing!
The story . . .
Five old friends, all in their eighties, meet up each week in the park to take the air and feed the ducks. This week was no different, as they talk over their past, the future and of course, feed the ducks. Burt and Harold can't believe their eyes when Barbara starts reminiscing about her youth and sings for the ducks, joined by her two old friends Ethel and Doris, only to realise they need to get to the shops quickly to buy sticky fly-paper and save the day! Those poor ducks will never be the same again!
