The Hunstanton Drama Festival 2013 Pirate's Picnic

Students of both JGDATA academies joined forces to perform their show, The Pirate's Picnic for the third and last time at the Princess Theatre Hunstanton on Sunday 14th July 2013 as part of the Drama Festival.  We were on stage as the second act and from the start every student performed like a true professional.
Before the show John took the students to the dressing room (we had the biggest dressing room with a lovely view across Hunstanton beach and sea.  Then onto stage for out walkthrough to allow the actors to familiarise themselves with the size and layout of the stage.  Then it was back to get changed and into make-up.
The SHOOTING Stars had the audience clapping and cheering right from the start, with amazing acting, voice control, singing and especially dance moves which were timed to perfection.  They did so well they were nominated for an award, received a certificate of Commendation and won the coveted SHAKESPEARE CUP.
Here's what we won:
Best Male Youth Actor Nomination (Tate was nominated for his role of Pirate Captain.)
Certificate of Commedation (Only five were awarded in total and we got one!)
The Shakespeare Cup (A trophy awarded by the adjudicators for their favourite production in the whole Drama Festival.)

Dear John,
I wanted to congratulate you yourself for the hard work with the children and especially on your nomination for most original script. Also thanks need to go to Jo who gets the ‘best supporting wife’ award. I know Fern looks forward to the next production and of course we as parents are thrilled that she actually got on stage which without the right encouragement from you she would not have done.
