Our Awards and Achievements 2014 . . .
What a great weekend we spent at the Princess Theatre Hunstanton as part of the Drama Festival of One Act Plays, July 2014.
Saturday Matinee was opened with the MEGA Stars (11yrs – 18yrs) performing ‘Crash Bang Bump’ and all six actors were amazing. Their great characterisation had the audience laughing all the way through this comedy piece which they timed beautifully. CLICK HERE for information about this show. The matinee had our SHOOTING Stars (4yrs – 11yrs) performing as the finale to the afternoon, their musical extravaganza ‘The Sock Monsters’ and all 34 students were outstanding. This was the second time they had performed this show and with all the lighting and costumes they were brilliant. CLICK HERE for more information about this show. This was the second year JGDATA had entered the SHOOTING and MEGA Stars for this festival and the students, as always were true professionals. However, this was the first year that JGDATA entered an adult group, the SUPERNOVAS who had the audience in stitches with their production of 'The Holiday Club' on Saturday evening. CLICK HERE for more information about this show. There were 13 drama entries in total (8 of which were adult entries and 5 were youth entries.) JGDATA were nominated 12 times (YES 12 times!) and we won a trophy too! Here is the breakdown of our amazing success: A certificate of Commendation (These were awarded to the 5 outstanding shows of the whole festival.)
