Our Awards and Achievements 2013 . . .
What a busy but very enjoyable weekend we spent at the Princess Theatre Hunstanton as part of the Drama Festival of One Act Plays, July 2013. Saturday Evening the MEGA Stars (11yrs – 15yrs) performed ‘An Excellent Adventure for the Fabulous Four’ and were brilliant. Full of character and fun, they had the audience laughing all the way through this comedy piece which they timed beautifully. CLICK HERE for information about this show.
Sunday Matinee the SHOOTING Stars (4yrs – 11yrs) performed ‘The Pirate’s Picnic’ and were outstanding. This was the third time they had performed this show and they went out in a blaze of glory – Fantastic. CLICK HERE for more information about this show. This was the first time JGDATA had entered for this festival and the students were praised by everyone I met (including Michael G Williamson – Head Adjudicator, who spoke with me after the show and asked me to congratulate all the children involved.) There were 11 drama entries in total (6 of which were adult entries and 5 were youth entries.) JGDATA were nominated 9 times (YES 9 times!) and we won 2 trophies too! Here is the breakdown of our amazing success: A certificate of Commendation (These were awarded to the 5 outstanding shows of the whole festival.) - We were awarded one for both of our shows!
